Will Ronaldo get a rising star in the team that was supposed to replace Messi at Barcelona? Al-Nassr wants to slap himself in the pocket
Cristiano Ronaldo is now enjoying football in Saudi Arabia, where he is scoring goal after goal. Some fans still dream of one day seeing him shine in the same jersey as Lionel Messi. That will probably never happen, at least in their professional careers. However, Al-Nassr is considering engaging the youngster who has been compared to the Argentine idol.

The Saudi Pro League is not currently being played. Saudi Arabia’s top football competition will not return for action until mid-February. Cristiano Ronaldo has had a phenomenal year and will be looking to build on it. However, his Al-Nassr is second in the table.
He is seven points behind first-placed Al-Hilal, despite having other elite footballers in his squad besides the star Portuguese. Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles and Aymeric Laporte are worth mentioning.
But now Al-Nassr is pursuing another great footballer who is now giving joy to the fans in Europe. So there could be at least a minor resemblance to one great football dream.
Many fans have wanted to see Ronaldo and Lionel Messi rolling in the same team. To see longtime rivals play together? That would be a spectacle without a doubt. But we’ll probably never get to see that until their careers are over.
But the Portuguese could see a rising star in his team, who has often been compared to Messi for his style of play. The 22-year-old has also come through Barcelona’s academy.
Ronaldo could be in line for another big signing
Even though some stars are fleeing Saudi Arabia back to Europe, or at least trying to, the clubs there are still trying to lure other aces of world football for big money. Al-Nassr has now scouted a Japanese star who is making waves in the Spanish league.
Takefusa Kubo has long been seen as a huge talent. His style of play was reminiscent of Lionel Messi. Left-footed, great ball control, excellent technique. It was surprising when Barcelona, whose academy he came through, let him get away.
The Japanese eventually headed to his homeland and was brought back to Spain by Real Madrid, who believed in his potential. But he didn’t get the chance to shine in a Los Blancos jersey. He wandered around on loan, playing for Villarreal, Getafe and Mallorca.
However, he shone the most in the jersey of Real Sociedad, where he ranked among the best players in the Spanish league. He is in his second season at the club. The Basque club bought him for 6.5 million euros. The Transfermarkt server values him with a price tag of 60 million euros.
Kubo is expected to sign a contract with a European club soon. However, according to Relevo, the aforementioned Al-Nassr could try to buy the player and Ronaldo could find a great teammate in the 22-year-old.
If anyone wants to buy the Japanese, they will have to pay 60 million euros.
