Will King get another chance at West Ham? He’s an FA Cup option, still getting used to the Premier League, Moyes believes

Czech national team player and West Ham midfielder Alex Král is still getting used to the English football environment, according to his coach David Moyes. That’s why he has played only 6 games under him since his summer transfer. However, he could get another chance to prove himself in Saturday’s FA Cup match against Kidderminster.
Alex King hasn’t been given much space in the British Isles so far. Since his summer arrival in London on loan from Spartak Moscow, he has only appeared twice in the starting line-up so far – in the third round of the League Cup and in the last Europa League group stage match.
A third such opportunity could come at an hour and a half past noon on Saturday. West Ham will take on Kidderminster, playing in the National League North, England’s sixth highest competition, in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
For such an opponent, from David Moyes’ point of view, it is understandable to try out otherwise not very playing players, such as the 23-year-old defensive midfielder.
“Alex has been a bit unlucky. In a period when there were a lot of games behind him, he started to push his way into the line-up easily. He played a couple of Europa League games, only to catch coronavirus right after and have a very difficult time again, ” the Scottish coach defended one of his three Czech charges on West Ham’ s website ahead of the next game.
“I’d like to try to give him some space on the pitch again to show what he’s got. He is an option for Saturday’s game. I will have a look at the line-up. Everybody is ready and hungry to play after two weeks, but it’s going to be a tough spring, so obviously I’ll try to spread the strength around,” Moyes mentioned the heavy schedule of the next few months, in which the Hammers are likely to fight on three fronts – the Premier League, the Europa League and, in the event of Saturday’s success, the FA Cup.
However, whether Alex King will help his squad significantly with him and fight for West Ham to exercise the transfer clause and acquire him permanently is questionable. Because according to the coach, he is still getting used to the speed and the whole environment of English football in general.
“I always say that it is simply not easy for some players to get used to Premier League football. Some can play without any problems immediately, but for others it takes some time and I think Alex belongs to the latter category. But I believe he will get more space in the second half of the season,” added the 58-year-old Glasgow native.
