Liverpool have been strengthening in the summer and one of the new faces of the English club is talented midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. He arrived at Anfield for 40 million euros from German side Bayern and for now he is paying back the amount the Reds paid for him.

He showed his great potential at Ajax. When Bayern bought him in the summer of 2022 for just under €20 million, he was an interesting signing. Ryan Gravenberch was supposed to be one of the key players of the future.

However, he failed to adapt fully at the club and after a year he swapped Germany for England and Bayern for Liverpool. One of the biggest English clubs did not hesitate to pay 40 million euros for him.

Bayern thus made a great profit and experts were quite skeptical about the price of the player. He didn’t really show much in Munich. His brilliance was evident at times, but it was more of a hint.

However, at Anfield he has been much more successful. It’s too early to make any judgements, but it looks like Jürgen Klopp has found the right recipe to use the still only 21-year-old Dutchman.

Although he has only made three starts in the starting line-up, it was during those games that he was present for three of Liverpool’s goals. He scored one goal and assisted twice. He registered assists against Linz and Leicester.

He scored his first goal on Thursday in a Europa League match against Belgian team Royale Union SG. With three goals in the first three games, in which he started from the opening whistle, he equalled the legend of Ostrava Baník.

The last time Milan Baroš scored three goals in his first three starts in the starting line-up was in a Liverpool jersey, it was 2002. Since then, the Reds have waited in vain for a similarly successful start from one of their new signings.

Baros has played 108 competitive games for Liverpool with a record of 27 goals and 11 assists. He won the Champions League and the League Cup with the club.
