The Chelsea management gave the fans a big shock on Wednesday morning. They fired the popular and quite successful coach Thomas Tuchel. Immediately, speculation began to swirl about his replacement, who could it be?

Graham Potter

Supposedly Chelsea’s top priority, at the same time it makes sense. Potter has incredibly lifted Brighton, with whom he is playing wonderful football and has kept them in the Top 4 so far this season.

the 47-year-old coach works very conceptually and has a refined style of play. Chelsea have reportedly already asked Brighton for the possibility of contacting the coach and are ready to pay his buyout clause. Owner Todd Boehly is expected to meet with Potter this afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino

A proven Premier League manager where he was at the heart of Tottenham’s rise to the Champions League final. He is perfectly capable of improving players and imprinting them with an appealing style of play, but is still accused of a lack of trophies.

Last time he was at PSG, where he finished second to Lille the season before last, he did dominate Ligue 1 last year, but getting knocked out in the Champions League eighth round with the Messi – Mbappé – Neymar treble broke his neck. He has been without a contract since the summer.

According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, he is one of four names on owner Todd Boehly’s list.

Zinedine Zidane

Another option is Zinedine Zidane, who has been without an engagement since the end of the season before last when he resigned at Real Madrid. In his professional coaching career, he has only coached the Spanish big club, and only twice.

The first time with him he scored a historic hat-trick in the Champions League, the second time in two and a half seasons he won the league title and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. He is a coach with a huge authority who relies on chemistry with his players, but doesn’t have a very sophisticated playing style.
