The Bundesliga has had a busy season. The duel between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich had a lot of momentum as the Bavarians were already leading 2:0, but in the end they couldn’t hold on to the lead.

Dortmund wanted to take advantage of Bayern’s unusual struggles in the Bundesliga so far this season and get rid of their complex. They hadn’t beaten their rivals in the league since November 2018.

And the players looked determined to do everything they could to do so. Borussia were the better side, they had the upper hand in the game but couldn’t convert it into a goal. And that’s what teams like Bayern punish.

Leon Goretzka opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and Borussia went into the booths very disappointed. After the start of the second half, Leroy Sané added salt to the wound of the home team by increasing the score to 2: 0.

But Borussia did not give up. In the 70th minute, coach Edin Terzic sent Anthony Modeste into the game – and it was a penalty. Just four minutes later, 17-year-old super talent Youssouf Moukoka scored an assist.

And he saved a big moment for the setup. In the 90th minute, Kingsley Coman saw his second yellow card and had to take an early shower.

Dortmund pushed and it came in the fifth minute of the setup. Schlotterbeck’s centre at the back post was converted by Modeste to send Signal Iduna Park into ecstasy.

The Bundesliga is going to be very interesting. Union Berlin are still first with 17 points, Freiburg have the same number. Bayern and Borussia are third and fourth with 16 points respectively.
