West Ham manager gets over a billion for transfers! Will he look at Slavia or will he spend elsewhere?
West Ham fans are upset about the club’s transfer policy, everyone is strengthening and their club has so far only brought in goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. On the other hand, why buy when the team is running like clockwork?
West Ham fans are upset about the club’s transfer policy, everyone is strengthening and their club has so far only brought in goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. On the other hand, why buy when the team is running like clockwork? True, but the team is also starting in the Europa League and the width of the squad is not great. We don’t need to talk about quality at all, the Hammers have a really strong starting eleven at the moment, but the substitutes bench is really inadequate.
Team manager David Moyes will reportedly be given a chance to rectify this situation. The hated club management is to provide him with £45 million (approx. CZK 1.35 billion) in transfer funds over the next week. Could at least some of that sum go to Eden? It’s not out of the question.
The main transfer target is to strengthen the stopper position and possibly bring in a replacement for the spike striker Michail Antonio, who often suffers from various muscle injuries.
The main transfer target is supposed to be Chelsea central defender Kurt Zouma, who doesn’t get as much playing space at the Blues. The transfer fee could be around £25 million.
Fans are also still hoping for the transfer of Jesse Lingard, who has been a guest at West Ham for the whole spring season and has fitted in well with the team. But Manchester United pulled him back after the season and he is sitting on the substitutes’ bench again.
So fans are speculating and hoping for a situation where the Hammers bring in Zouma for 25 million and Lingard for 20. However, that is very much a pipe dream that probably won’t come true.
What about Abdallah Sima? Will Slavia get their share too?
British Eurosport reported that several mid-table Premier League clubs (including WHU) are interested in Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard. If things don’t work out with him, Slavia’s Abdallah Sima is reportedly the second choice, the third being Sevilla’s Luuk de Jong.
A transfer of the young Senegalese to the British Isles is therefore not completely out of the question. However, there is also the question of how much West Ham would offer Slavia for Sima’s services. In any case, all indications are that West Ham will finally make a move on the transfer market.
