Wayne Rooney has rejected his parent club! Frank Lampard to lead Everton
Everton are sounding the alarm, this season is becoming a nightmare for the Toffees. The club are down to 16th place after 20 games played and could realistically be relegated. That would be an unexpected and harsh blow for the traditional Liverpool outfit.
Everton are sounding the alarm, this season is becoming a nightmare for the Toffees. The club are down to 16th place after 20 games played and could realistically be relegated. That would be an unexpected and harsh blow for the traditional Liverpool outfit. A tragedy is to be averted by new manager Frank Lampard.
However, Everton have also poached Wayne Rooney before Lampard. The club’s representatives were to contact his agent, but Rooney turned down the offer.
The Toffees, meanwhile, once sent Rooney to big football and it was also his last Premier League playing engagement. Still, the legendary Englishman decided to decline, probably sensing that this might not be the best first stint in the Premier League (as a manager).
Who knows, maybe some advice from Sir Alex Ferguson has come in? Anyway, Rooney’s official statement is:. But now I have a job at Derby and that is important to me.”
Hats off to Rooney. The financial conditions would certainly be better at Everton and Derby County are playing for the Championship. But the young manager is far from a miracle!
The Football Association has docked his club a whopping 21 points for financial problems, but Rooney’s team are only 8 points behind the relegation zone. Without the deduction, Derby would be plus or minus in mid-table.
Frank Lampard is back in the PL
Frank Lampard is written in bold letters in the history of Chelsea London, where he spent almost his entire career and also appeared on its bench as a manager. His coaching stats, meanwhile, are not as convincing as when he was running around on the turf in cleats.
Lampard’s steps now lead back to the blue colours, but in a different city. He is expected to sign for Everton in the coming hours.
After the short winter break that is now underway in the Premier League, he will have his work cut out for him. For Everton will visit St. James’ Park, where he will be welcomed by Newcastle. It is essentially a rescue game, if the Magpies can win they will be only a point behind the Toffees.
