Direct free kicks are a traditional favourite of football fans. The most successful executors of direct kicks in the history of the English top flight have certainly stuck in the minds of many football fans thanks to their technical ability.

In addition to Word-Prowse and Ronaldo, they reached the mark of eleven goals from standard situations, leaving Sebastian Larsson and Laurent Robert tied for third place in the historical table.

The Frenchman Robert has linked his involvement in the islands mainly with the North of England’s Newcastle. Swedish international Larsson has spent the bulk of his Premier League career at Birmingham or Sunderland.

Two London club legends share second place with twelve goals. The first is Chelsea icon, Italian striker Gianfranco Zola. The second is none other than Arsenal’s French goalscorer Thierry Henry.

The first place is held by former Manchester United player David Beckham with a fairly decent lead over the others. Beckham, known as an extremely technical player and a specialist in standard football, scored an incredible eighteen goals from direct kicks during his active career in England.
