Voting for “MMA Oscar” 2023 has been opened. See all categories
On Tuesday, voting for the 15th Fighter’s Only World MMA Awards, also known as “MMA Oscar,” was opened. The candidates were selected from the period between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023. Oktagon MMA is competing in three categories.
In Best Promotion, czech event is competing against another european company, KSW, besides UFC, Bellator and PFL. Oktagon MMA co-founder and owner, Ondrej Novotny was nominated as Leading Man, and Louis Glismann’s inverted omoplata over Melvin van Suijdam on Oktagon 43 is in Submission of the Year category.
For “Female Fighter of the Year”, Amanda Nunes is competing against her fellow brazilian Larissa Pacheco, and also Liz Carmouche, Alexa Grasso and Seika Izawa. For “Fighter of the year” prize, Leon Edwards, Aljamain Sterling, Israel Adesanya, Islam Makhachev and Sadibou Sy are the nominees.
