VIDEO: Vinícius die! Barcelona fans once again harshly berate Real Madrid star
Vinícius is not having an easy time on La Liga pitches. Although he constantly claims that he loves Real Madrid and wants to stay there, no one would be surprised if he decided to change the environment, which is becoming toxic. And before Barcelona’s rematch with Real, he heard the harsh abuse again.
Real Madrid’s footballers have a rematch in the Copa del Rey semi-finals on Wednesday, April 5, on Barcelona’s soil, and they knew full well that it would not be easy in every way.
But perhaps the toughest of all is White Ballet star Vinícius Jr. Barcelona supporters once again hurled harsh abuse at him before the game, including the reprehensible slogan “Vinícius die.”
Unfortunately, Vinícius is probably getting used to such shouts and insults by now. For example, at the end of December last year, during a match against Real Valladolid, Vinícius was racially abused by fans, yelling at him for being a “f*cking nig*” or a “tried monkey.”
Osasuna fans also wished death on the young Real Madrid star. It is all the sadder that such shouts were not forgiven by the rioters during the minute’s silence.
Back to the Barcelona match. The Catalan giant won 1-0 in the first Copa del Rey semi-final at the Santiago Bernabeu and went into the rematch in a positive mood.
However, at the end of the first half the visitors opened the scoring, with Vinícius scoring Real’s first goal. Robert Lewandowski missed a great opportunity a few moments earlier.
Carlo Ancelotti’s charges added another goal in the 50th minute. Luka Modric showed how well he and Karim Benzema get along on the pitch and it was the latter who scored the second goal of the game.
And eight minutes later, Frenchman Benzema scored again to send Real into a three-goal lead. The 72nd minute is now running at the Camp Nou and the team from the Spanish capital is still leading 3-0.
