Gareth Bale has retired from football in Europe for the time being after the end of his engagement with Real Madrid and headed to the American MLS, specifically to Los Angeles FC. And the Wales star scored his first goal in the match against Kansas City, which is worth seeing!
The thirty-three-year-old Welshman made only his second start for Los Angeles FC. In the first one against Nashville, he showed his footballing skills to the MLS fans for the first time, and now he has scored his first goal.
His precise strike secured Los Angeles’ third win in a row, while Bale’s was really worth it. He set up an attacking action in his own half of the field, made a sprint to the opponent’s attacking half, outwitted the Kansas defence in the sixteenth minute and scored.
Thanks to him, Los Angeles leads not only the Western Conference, but also the entire MLS. It should be added, the American team not only brought in Bale over the summer, but also Giorgio Chiellini.
Bringing in both players proves one thing – the Californian team is currently trying to make up for the previous botched season, when Los Angeles didn’t even qualify for the playoffs.
Balea’s transfer, however, means something else, namely the fact that the former world’s most expensive footballer, who left Real Madrid after nine years, is tuning his form for the autumn World Cup. For it is on that occasion that he will lead Wales as captain.
And so far it seems to be working, Bale last played for Real in April, and now it looks like he is enjoying football again. So Bale is motivated and we will see what form he brings to this year’s championship.
