The Senegalese international has signed a three-year contract with the Bavarian club. A Sky Sports reporter wanted to get an interview with Sadio Mané when he arrived in Munich, but someone else got out of the car.
Mané confirmed his expected transfer to Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The 30-year-old striker ended his six-year spell at Anfield. He has only one year left on his contract.
His arrival at Bayern will be one of the biggest transfers of the summer, so it’s no surprise that everyone will be interested in talking to the former Southampton winger.
It looked like Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg might get the first words out of him as a new Bayern player.
The reporter rushed over to the player to talk to him as he was getting out of the car, and the studio presenter excitedly announced
But it was someone else..
But in the end, it was just bad camerawork.
The former Liverpool striker got out of the car on the other side. And the initial zoom makes it look like he wasn’t there.
Of course, the reporter fails to get a word out of Mane as he disappears inside to fulfil his first commitments as a Bayern player.
For Liverpool, where he has been since 2016, Mané has played 269 competitive games and scored 120 goals. He won the English league and the Champions League with the team. Before that, he played for Southampton, Salzburg and Métés.
