VIDEO: Liverpool suffered a debacle at Brighton! Klopp apologised to the fans. I can’t remember a worse performance, he says

Liverpool visited Brighton on Saturday afternoon and absolutely failed to win the game. The team from the south coast of England outclassed the Reds 3-0 and Jürgen Klopp was hard pressed for words after the terrible performance of his charges.
Brighton this season is building on last season and not only that. It looks like it is on course to surpass it. While last season he collected 51 points, he now has 30 points after 18 rounds.
Moreover, the Seagulls are showing attractive offensive football and look united, like a real team. Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp spoke about this before the clash. And on Saturday he could see it for himself.
Even in the first half, the Reds were clearly the worse team. Both in shots on target and in possession, the home side had the upper hand. But the goals were to come in the second half.
In the 47th minute, after a mistake by Joel Matip, Brighton had a great chance and Solly March converted it. 5 minutes later the same player increased his team’s lead.
Brighton were on the back foot after two goals. They did pretty much whatever they wanted. And it was confirmed by striker Danny Welbeck, who capped off the final 3-0 scoreline with a superb stunt.
As soon as the game was over, the photographers started to take notice of coach Klopp. It was clear from his gestures alone that he was not happy with the performance or the result. And rightly so.
With the win, Brighton leapfrogged Liverpool in the Premier League table and moved up to a beautiful 7th place.
And what did the German strategist actually say to the media after the game? First of all, he admitted that he had never seen a worse performance from his charges. At least, he doesn’t remember it.
He was frustrated and took all the responsibility for the performance and the result on himself.
“I am very concerned. How could I not be after such a performance? It’s a tough day. Brighton were the better team, they won deservedly. Itwas a battle of a well-organised team against a not-so-well-organised team,” he said in a post-match interview.
