Atlético Madrid started La Liga on a very positive note, beating Granada 3-1 in Monday’s match. The winning goal was scored by Memphis Depay, who scored the goal of the season with his long-range shot.

However, the 2-1 scoreline held until the final minutes, and Granada went into a dangerous 2-on-2 breakout situation in the setup, but couldn’t solve it successfully.

On the other hand, it was Atlético who added another goal. In the 98th minute, Correa dribbled into the box, the defenders only punched the ball out to Llorente, who charged in from the second wave and the Spanish all-rounder between the goalkeeper’s legs closed the scoring to 3-1.

Atlético moved up to first place in the table after the first round, Granada are seventeenth. However, the Colchoneros will face a tough match in the next round at the hot Benito Villamarín ground against local Betis.
