- Atlético will significantly strengthen its offensive ranks
- Chelsea could come up with a package of up to 40 million euros
- Manchester City are expected to cash in up to €95 million for Álvarez with bonuses
Atlético are just a small step away from completing the transfer of England international Conor Gallegher, who was one of Chelsea’s best players in London last season.
In the league alone last season he racked up a 5+7 record in 37 games, not bad numbers for a midfielder. Now, however, he will probably have his first engagement outside the British Isles. Chelsea are expected to earn a figure doubtful to be around 40 million euros after his departure.
The second signing mentioned is expected to be Argentine Julián Álvarez
Atleti have also eyed another high-profile signing in the Isles, this time they would like to bring in Julián Álvarez from Manchester City.
The still young twenty-four-year-old Argentine, who has certainly done his bit for Manchester City, is expected to report to coach and compatriot Diego Simeone in the coming days.
However, Atlético’s management will have to pat themselves on the pocket a lot, with Manchester City expected to pay a sum of around €75 million and another €20 million in bonuses.
This transfer window looks set to be a very turbulent one for Atlético. After the departure of main scorer Álvaro Morata, they already have two confirmed arrivals, namely Sorloth and Le Normand. Apparently, at least two more transfers are on the way towards the club.
