Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing for the new challenge of the Saudi Arabian Football League in his own way. Ahead of his competitive debut, he met the scariest man on the planet in Riyadh, and there was even a staredown.
Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved all he could achieve in European football. So after finishing at Manchester United, he decided to take an unexpected step. He headed to Saudi Arabia, where he plays for Al-Nassr.
However, he has not yet played a competitive match due to his two-match suspension from England. That should change on Sunday evening when his selection faces another league match.
Before that, however, the Portuguese tried out a slightly different discipline. In Riyadh, he met the scariest man on the planet. That’s none other than Francis Ngannou, already a former UFC heavyweight champion.
There was even a mutual staredown, where the huge proportions that the star fighter possesses were shown.
Ngannou was also very happy about the encounter. He referred to Ronaldo in his social media posts as the best player of all time. Moreover, like Ronaldo, Ngannou is now facing a big change.
This is because he has decided to turn down big money from the UFC and with it a fight with the legendary Jon Jones. He now faces a decision about what to do with his future.
It’s no secret that Ngannou would like to try boxing. There has been a lot of talk about an exhibition with Tyson Fury, however, he is now preparing for another fight. There is now media speculation that Derek Chisora could get the nod for a mutual fight.
