VIDEO: End of the club for shoving a female referee! Career of former Sparta stopper Chervak still in decline
By this time, he should have already been on the league turf, but the career of Ukrainian defender Vadym Chervak is going downhill. His quality performances earned him a place on a training camp with Sparta’s A team, but his performances declined and he eventually left the club. And the improvement didn’t come even after his return to Ukraine.
More interested fans may remember Vadym Chervak. He came to Sparta Prague in 2018 and six months later he already left with the A-team for the winter training camp.
Back then, the club was coached by Zdeněk Ščasný and Chervak certainly didn’t let him down. In the preparation he gave quality performances, but he was unlucky to have Dominik Plechatý shining next to him.
He then got his chance and the young Ukrainian stopper went on loan to Vlasim. And it was here that his career began to decline. Chervak didn’t play well, apparently he couldn’t handle the fact that he didn’t stick at Sparta despite his quality performances.
He then stayed in the reserve team of Sparta, where he played rather sporadically.
In the summer of 2022, his contract at Sparta ended and the player went back home to Ukraine. His new team became the second league Polissya Zhytomyr.
He was a regular in the autumn, but he didn’t get so many chances in the preparation and in the first spring championship match he did something that he is definitely ashamed of at the moment.
Against Metalurh he received a red card at the end of the game. But not just any card, he was guilty of a disputable moment in the visitors’ penalty area, and the female referee did not whistle for a penalty kick.
Chervak was so angry that he ran up to the referee and shoved her in the back. It is now certain that he will face a hefty punishment and will not play a few games.
But it may very well be his last game in Zhytomyr. There are rumours that the Ukrainian club has terminated his contract, but there is no word on the club website about it yet.
