VIDEO: Despite his refusal, a pushy assistant coach wanted to take a photo with Ronaldo. The Portuguese couldn’t hold his nerve and pushed him away
Cristiano Ronaldo’s career is slowly coming to an end. The Portuguese striker has been an Al Nassr player since January, yet the pressure on him is immense. Not every game will go his way, plus he is expected to be flawless off the pitch as well. However, he hasn’t done that this time.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s career is slowly coming to an end. The Portuguese striker has been an Al Nassr player since January, yet the pressure on him is immense. Not every game will go his way, and he is expected to be flawless off the pitch as well. However, he hasn’t done that this time.
In thirteen league games, he has managed to score 12 goals. Still, it can’t be said that Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement in Saudi Arabia is completely rosy.
While the Portuguese has often shown the quality performances that were expected of him, he has alternated them with below average ones, which is understandable given his advanced footballing age.
From time to time his nerves fly away and one of these not so positive moments came after the match against Al Khaleej, in which his team had to settle for a mere 1-1 draw.
Ronaldo didn’t score a goal in the match, but he didn’t seem to be in a completely bad mood after the game. He exchanged jerseys with one of the players, then shook hands with the rest.
Afterwards, the assistant coach of the opposing team ran up to him and tried to take an indiscriminate picture with him. First he grabbed him by the shoulder, the Portuguese didn’t make much of a face and certainly didn’t want to take a picture.
But that wasn’t enough for the coach and he tried to take the photo anyway. Ronaldo then couldn’t hold his nerve and pushed the coach away from him. There is speculation as to whether he will be punished by the club, but his behaviour is understandable.
Ronaldo may be earning handsome money, but it is all bought with the loss of privacy and peace of mind. What’s more, when the coach went ahead with the photo shoot despite his disapproval, he just didn’t quite hold back.
With just four games left in the season, Al Nassr is second with five points behind first-placed Al Ittihad. This makes winning the title unlikely at the moment.
