Tottenham got binned by the Feyenoord coach, the Aussie is now the main target. I’m focusing on Celtic, says Postecoglou
Tottenham are looking for a new coach. Still. One of the main candidates was Arne Slot, who had a great season with Feyernoord, but he decided to stay in the Netherlands. Now the London club has a new target.

Spurs are in for a very interesting summer. The London club is looking for a new coach and may have to say goodbye to a club legend. Harry Kane would like to win a trophy in his career and he is clearly not happy at Tottenham.
And what about the search for a coach? Speculation has been rife. Julian Nagelsmann doesn’t look very realistic, Mauricio Pochettino is heading to Chelsea and Arne Slot has given Tottenham the bin.
Yet there are still interesting names up for grabs. According to Sky Sports, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi and Fulham’s Marco Silva are in the running. The main target then, surprisingly, has to be an Australian strategist.
Former Australian national team coach and current Scottish Celtic coach Ange Postecoglou has had a dream season. He has returned Celtic to the Scottish throne and is aiming for a domestic treble with them. His team is playing attractive football and everything looks great.
But is he even interested in strengthening Tottenham? He’s not concentrating on anything like that at the moment. He wants to finish the season with Celtic on a high.
Postecoglou has been at Celtic since 2021. He’s won 82 of his 112 competitive games. He’s got the Scottish Cup final against Inverness on Saturday. He’s already won the league and the League Cup this year.
During the season, the Australian has already been linked with Everton and Chelsea. “I’ve never planned anything in my football career. As a coach, you can’t plot a course to get to a certain position at a certain time,” Sky Sports quotes him as saying.
“The thing I know for sure is that if you don’t focus on the task at hand, your destiny gets out of hand. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am. What happens, happens because I thrive. Celtic fans want their coach to focus on what is important to them now,” he added.
