It probably won’t surprise anyone who tops the goalscoring charts. Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski has scored an astonishing 31 goals and no one even comes close. He’s aiming to break his 41-goal record from last season.
In second place is Karim Benzema of Real Madrid. The Frenchman is playing in the form of his life and is the best of all the stars in terms of productivity. In fact, he has added 11 assists to his 22 goals, while Lewandowski has added just one assist to his 31 goals.
The third place is shared by two Serie A scorers. Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and Ciro Immobile scored 21 goals. The Czech fans will be proud to see the next position.
Czech Patrik Schick shares the fifth place with Mohamed Salah. But the Egyptian has the advantage in assists, which he has collected 10 compared to Schick’s only one.
There are more scorers with 15 goals, but Mbappé is the most productive. Christopher Nkunku of Leipzig added 9 assists to his 15 goals, while Anthony Modeste of Cologne, Tammy Abraham of AS Roma and Giovanni Simeone of Verona also scored the same number of goals.
Surprisingly, for the first time in years, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the hegemons of the last decade, are not among the top ten scorers. The summer transfer did not go as expected for either of them, but in terms of numbers, the Portuguese is definitely better off.
Ronaldo has scored 12 goals in the Premier League, while Messi has only 2 league goals in Ligue 1. A bigger contribution could also be expected from Harry Kane (12) or Neymar (5).
