Champions League
Three minutes of horror for AC Milan. First Giroud misses a penalty, then Reus sends Dortmund into the lead
A match that can tell a lot about how the group of death, Group F, will develop. In Milan, the match started in the worst possible way for the home Rossoneri.

Dortmund, PSG, AC Milan, Newcastle. Clearly the toughest group in the Champions League. There’s no outsider in Group F who’s doomed to fourth place. All teams can and want to think about qualifying for the spring.
Borussia Dortmund, after a bad start, a defeat to PSG and a draw with Milan, managed to beat Newcastle twice and climb to the top of the table.
AC Milan also didn’t start the group ideally, drawing twice without scoring and losing in Paris. However, they managed to beat PSG at home and the whole group got really mixed up.
If Dortmund had won at the San Siro, they would have been assured of progressing out of the group and would have had nothing to look back on. But winning in Milan is not easy, and there was talk of Dortmund coming for a draw.
But the game got off to a very wild start. As early as the sixth minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the home side AC Milan. The leader of the home team, Olivier Giroud, was on the penalty spot.
The French striker kicked the penalty to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregor Kobel was on target and saved the penalty. Giroud could have regretted it even more three minutes later.
The referee also awarded a penalty on the other side and the ball was taken by the reliable Marco Reus. The German midfielder cleared the penalty uncompromisingly to the bar and sent Dortmund into the lead.
