This is gonna be a blast! Octagon announced Magard vs. Sivak boxing match

Oktagon Underground, which takes place on 21 May at the O2 Arena, has been given another boost. In addition to the main fight of the evening, Vémola vs. Marpo will also feature Danish Oktagon bantamweight champion Jonas Magard against WAKO PRO kickboxing world champion Vaclav Sivak.

Oktagon Underground presents a new fight

The biggest domestic MMA organization, Oktagon, announced another awesome fight on social media Tuesday night. In addition to classic MMA fights, it also focused on stand-up tournaments. One of those is Oktagon Underground, which we’ll see in Prague in May.

The event, which sees the announcement of the big return of Carlos Terminator Vemola taking on rapper Marpo, will feature names few expected. Jonas Magard will take on Vaclav Sivak in a classic 4×3 minute boxing match.

“Predator against predator,” promotes the unexpected Oktagon battle on his Instagram.
“The bloodthirsty Danish shark against the unshakable golden Czech “Bad boy” in a classic 4×3 minute boxing match,” the post from the leading Czech MMA organization continues.

Danish “shark” Jonas Magard, who we saw in November’s title fight with Filip Mack, started out with karate before switching to MMA. The Viking’s stand-up skills are simply in his blood. Now we’ll see him in a pure boxing match, which, given what we’ve seen in his time in the Octagon, guarantees a real spectacle.

“I have a simple plan in my fights, be tough and brutal,” says the Danish shark according to the Octagon. “I miss violence, I will have no mercy,” Magard beckons for battle.

The gray-haired man has accomplished a lot in his 22 years of martial arts. In fact, the list of his achievements is incredible at his age. He was the first Czech in history to achieve the title of world champion in kickboxing of the world organization WAKO and in 2020 he became the Czech Republic’s champion in classical boxing. So will he have a slight advantage in a pure boxing match, will his boxing experience show in the duel itself?

The predatory and aggressive nature of both fighters gives the action an extra boost and a special touch. We really have something to look forward to.
