Spain – Lamine Yamal – 16 years old
The youngest ever player in the whole championship is only 16 years old product of FC Barcelona’s famous academy – Lamine Yamal. This winger was drafted into the first team by the then Barcelona coach Xavi and allowed him to make his debut in the top competition at the age of 15.
In the last edition of La Liga, he scored eight goals in thirty-seven games, to which he added five assists. As for his national team career, he has made fourteen appearances in twenty-eight starts across all selections.
Croatia – Martin Baturina – 21 years old
The offensive midfielder started his career in the colours of Hajduk Split, but subsequently headed to rival Dinamo Zagreb via RNK Split, where he is now. He earned a solid place in Dinamo’s first team starting line-up and also played in the Conference Europa League.
As a player of Dinamo Zagreb he has four championship titles to his credit. He has won the Croatian Super Cup twice and was also involved in winning the domestic cup once.
Italy – Riccardo Calafiori – 22 years old
This defender has spent much of his career so far in the colours of AS Roma. He only saw a transfer in 2022 when he was acquired by Basel’s management. He played thirty-eight games for the Swiss club with a record of one goal and three assists.
He returned to Italy last August. He made thirty-three starts for Bologna, the fifth team in Serie A, and worked his way into the starting line-up. His price is currently estimated at around CZK 742 million. According to the Italian media, Juventus’ interest is not ruled out.
Albania – Medon Berisha – 20 years old
Born in Switzerland, where he started his football career. He moved from FC Bern to the better known Young Boys, where he went through all the youth teams and scored sixteen goals in eighty-eight games, mostly from the central midfield position. In 2022 he moved to Lecce in Italy, with whom he signed a contract until 2027.
He belonged to the Albania youth national team, but due to temporary citizenship problems, he also moved to the Kosovo national team, where he scored two starts. After that, he became part of the Albanian national team again. He made his first start for the first team on the third of June this year.
