The Unstoppable Barrack! Tenth goal secures a point against AS Roma, top five top scorers are close

Antonín Barák scored his tenth Serie A goal of the season on Saturday. He helped the team to a 2-2 draw with AS Roma, but the point can be considered a loss considering the course of the match. Hellas were still leading 2-0 at half-time.

Barak scored in the fifth minute. After a well-rehearsed standard situation, the ball reached him on the edge of the box and he slid it into the net. The outsider took an unexpectedly quick lead.

A quarter of an hour later, another team action led to an increase in the lead. Gianluca Caprari cleverly passed underneath where Adrien Tameze ran in and with a shot under the crossbar gave the home goalkeeper no chance to react.

After half-time, the Romans woke up. Eighteen-year-old talent Cristian Volpato reduced the deficit in the 60th minute, and in the 84th minute Edoardo Bove, only a year older, equalised with a hidden shot to make it 2-2.

After the draw, Hellas Verona remain in ninth place and can still think about the European Cup. They are currently four points behind the Top 7, with thirty-six points still in play in the twelve rounds.

It was the tenth league goal for the Czech international, which puts him in sixth place on the scorers’ table. Barák scored for the second game in a row, in addition to four goal assists.
