The Slav players dominated the women’s derby and have a four-point lead. Kožárová scored the winner in the 90th minute
Another women’s derby was on the agenda Sunday afternoon. The duel in the superstructure may have been a hint for the title and the Slavic women will be happier, winning 1:0.
Another women’s derby was on the agenda Sunday afternoon. The duel in the superstructure may have been a hint for the title and the Slavic women will be happier, winning 1:0.
The women’s derby at the end of March was a record-breaker. Sparta made a great effort to attract as many spectators as possible to the stands of the EPET Arena.
And it succeeded, 5 734 spectators came to Letná, which was a league record attendance. The Czech record, however, could not be broken, as it is still held by Slavia (6,882) for their match against Bayern in the 2019 Champions League quarter-finals.
Sparta won the match 1: 0 and moved to the top of the table. But less than a month later, another derby came, this time in the extra time and again at Letná.
Slavia was the first to respond when Nekesa dumped in Franny Cerna, who shot from long range. Goalkeeper Schneider knocked her shot out for a corner.
In the 25th minute Michaela Khýrová put Petra Divišová into a great chance, who was escaping alone on goal and managed to push the ball between the legs of the home goalkeeper, but the shot was not sharp enough and the Sparta defender managed to kick the ball away.
Nothing interesting happened until the end of the first half and the game was scoreless despite the superiority of the Sšívan players.
Nothing exciting happened in the second half either. It was only in the 84th minute that the Spartans created a big jam in front of the goal after a corner, but nothing came of it.
The spectators had to wait until the 90th minute for the only goal of the match. After a direct kick, Tereza Kožárová got to the end of the match and in the very end she beat the home goalkeeper.
She scored a very important win and returned Slavia to the top of the table. Karel Piták’s team has a four-point lead, but Sparta has one match to play.
