It’s coming. Two greats will face each other in the boxing ring. Boxing champion Tyson Fury will face the former UFC champion, Francis Ngannou has a big challenge ahead of him. The Gypsy King believes he can beat him not only in boxing but also in MMA. He also talked about his other plans.

Tyson Fury can only choose his opponents. Oleksandr Usyk, for example, is interested in fighting him for the sake of unifying the heavyweight titles, but it seems that the English boxer is not interested in this duel, or rather, it is not his priority, which he confirmed in his last interview with Fight Hub TV.

The Gypsy King says that Francis Ngannou will be a much bigger challenge for him and that he doesn’t need to be the undisputed heavyweight king, with the idea of unifying all the big titles. And the former UFC champion will indeed be his next opponent.

The fight will take place on October 28, with Fury understandably the big favourite. Ngannou may have a great life story behind him, trained by Mike Tyson, but will it be enough to take on the undefeated Gypsy King?

Now Fury and Ngannou have come face to face, fans have been able to see their staredown and some interesting statements have been dropped.

Fury believes that when he beats the former heavyweight champion in boxing, he could also beat him in the cage under MMA rules. “I think I could beat you in the cage. I’d kick your p**s in there, no problem. I’ll beat you in boxing and then I’ll beat you in MMA,” the boxing champion expressed.

Ngannou looked amused. He immediately told his opponent that he couldn’t be serious and that his primary focus should now be on boxing. Fury, however, countered by saying that Ngannou had more or less nothing except a hard jab and that he had faced bigger punchers.

Gypsy King also said in media interviews that Ngannou wasn’t known for great wrestling or Brazilian jiu-jitsu in MMA, which made him see his chances as realistic.

He said he could do an MMA rematch within the next year. And to make matters worse, he also made his case for Jon Jones, arguably the best fighter in MMA history and the reigning UFC heavyweight king, in an interview with Sky Sports News.
