He has long been one of the most underrated coaches, and not for nothing is he considered a Europa League champion. Currently, Unai Emery is the main architect of Aston Villa’s rise, according to Sky Sports expert he is already the third best coach in the Premier League.

“If anyone is better, it’s Jurgen Klopp with Pep Guardiola. They are Champions League winners,” Carragher continued.

Bottom line, Carragher ranked Ange Postecoglou and Mikel Arteta alongside Erik ten Hag for Emery. It was Emery, meanwhile, who failed to succeed his Spanish colleague on the Gunners bench after taking over the scepter from Arsene Wenger.
