The joke that put him in the hospital! He baited Liverpool fans for the title, then could only regret it
I’m sure all football fans have seen the incredibly exciting last round of the English Premier League. With 15 minutes to go, the impossible was still happening. What was being talked about as a miracle.
I’m sure all football fans have seen the incredibly exciting last round of the English Premier League. With 15 minutes to go, the impossible was still happening. What was being talked about as a miracle.
Leader Manchester City was still trailing 2-0 at home to Aston Villa in the 75th minute. But then came a cannonade by the Citizens and within 5 minutes three quick goals turned the game and indeed the whole league season in their favour.
At the same time, the match between Liverpool and Wolves was also taking place. If the Citizens had faltered, Liverpool would have celebrated the title if they had gained 3 points.
The match wasn’t exactly easy for the Reds either and they also had to turn it around, which they eventually did and from the 84th minute the whole of Anfield watched their rivals’ match on their mobile phones. Because a possible Aston Villa equaliser would have changed their whole world.
Somewhere around the 90th minute, one of the home supporters thought it would be a great idea to shout that it had happened. That City would get a goal, that they would lose 2 points, that Liverpool would overtake them and win the title. But it didn’t happen.
The fan made it up. Supposedly he expected it to be funny. But most of the fans were so upset about this very difficult moment mentally that they were in no mood for fun.
The joke was not appreciated and this prankster was facing a physical confrontation with those who were taking it the hardest. Eventually, he was rushed to the hospital.
Not every situation is suitable for jokes..
