He won virtually everything he could in a storied career that made him one of the best players in football history. That is, apart from the World Cup, where he has been a member of the Portuguese national team five times, as well as the Euros.

But unlike the World Cup, Portugal and Ronaldo managed to win the European Championship. In any case, Ronaldo is now at an age where questions about the end of his career are understandably abounding.

The famous Portuguese has already expressed his views on his club career in recent times, specifically in an interview with NOW.

In it, Ronaldo stated that he will very likely end his career in Saudi Arabia. Although fans would love to see him conclude his spectacular story at Sporting Lisbon, it is at Al Nassr that he says he is happy and has no reason to leave.

The thirty-nine-year-old legend also spoke about the end of his national team career. In the interview, he mentioned that he will not tell anyone this decision in advance, it will be very spontaneous but well thought out at the same time. Ronaldo has spoken again about being in the national team.

Ronaldo on ending up in the national team

This time, however, he was answering questions from ESPN. The Funchal native told the TV station that he is definitely not going to quit the national team just yet.

“It never occurred to me that I should leave the national team. On the contrary, I am even more motivated than before and I want to win the Nations League with Portugal. We have already won it once and we want to do it again,” Ronaldo said in an interview with ESPN.

Although he has been criticized for his failure to make the national team at this year’s Euro, Ronaldo himself feels confident in coach Roberto Martínez.

“Criticism is great because if it doesn’t exist, there is no progress. It has always been like that. Will that ever change? It won’t. So I try to go my own way, to be as professional as possible, to help as much as possible with my professionalism and not just with goals, assists, discipline and example. After all, football is much more than just playing well or scoring goals,” said key footballer Al Nassru.
