The Brazilian super talent has great numbers. But he’s short of Ronaldo, even with Neymar
17. november 2023 may very well be mentioned a lot in the future in connection with the super-talent Endrick, who is expected to lead the Brazilian national team back to the world throne in the near future.
17. november 2023 may very well be mentioned a lot in the future in connection with the super-talent Endrick, who is expected to lead the Brazilian national team back to the world throne in the near future. However, compared to his predecessors, he still has a lot of catching up to do, especially compared to Ronaldo, to whom he is compared.
Endrick
The Brazilian striker has already been insured by Real Madrid, who were not afraid to spend over 37 million euros for him. However, Endrick is currently playing for Palmeiras, for whom he has already scored 15 goals in 56 games and added 2 assists.
Moreover, on Friday he became the fourth youngest debutant in the Brazilian national team. Only greats like Pelé, Edu and Coutinho are ahead of him.
So all Brazilian fans hope that soon Endrick will start scoring goals too and it will last him for many years to come. He has the prerequisites for that, but he is not that exceptional yet compared to his predecessors.
Neymar
Neymar was undoubtedly an even bigger target in his youth in South America. In his first 56 competitive games, he scored 21 goals and added 12 assists.
He also performed very well in his inaugural season at Barcelona, scoring 15 goals in 41 games and providing the same number of assists to his teammates. In the summer of 2017, however, he was snapped up by Catalans PSG and began his steep decline.
Putting money before his career was most likely a tragedy for the sport, and one that is sadly being seen more and more often. Currently especially with the departures to the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo
Neither of the pair, however, are up to the ankles of Ronaldo, who played for Cruzeiro in Brazil before moving to Europe. Nazario scored a whopping 52 goals in his opening 56 competitive games and added 8 assists.
Ronaldo was a killer with a capital Z and he also won the World Cup twice for the Brazilians (1994 and 2002). But of course, he had the advantage of having a number of other legendary compatriots running around the football turf at the time.
Brazil’s Ronaldo was an exceptional striker. It must be a great honour for Endrick to be compared to him. But it is also a great challenge to prove it on the pitch. He is still behind his idol.
