Today in Trnava the FABRIQ organization opens its operations on the domestic MMA market. After a year, legendary Slovak fighter Gábor Boráros returns to the cage. What does this actually mean for the organization and for him?
Attila Vegh’s new MMA organization FABRIQ starts today with its first tournament in the city sports hall in Trnava. In the main bout of the evening, Oktagon’s lightweight number three Karol Rysavy will take on Challenge participant Vlado Lengal.
However, great expectations are raised by the main pre-fight of the card in the form of Gábor Boráros’ return to the cage. His last appearance there was last September, when he fell short to Frenchman Leboout at Oktagon 27.
The legendary fighter then labored with a re-injury to his knee for virtually the entire year and now he’s back in a new organization.
Here he will try to get back on the winning streak. Boráros has taken three losses in his last three fights in the Octagon.
“The break I had had its advantages and disadvantages, but probably more advantages,” Boráros said on the FABRIQ Instagram. “So I want to take advantage of that to be stronger than ever, ” he believes in his skills.
MMA fans have at times stopped believing that we would see Gábor back in the cage after numerous injuries, but the fighter did not disappoint again. “I’m going into the fight because I want to, not because of the fans or the haters,” he describes his inner feelings.
Although he hasn’t fought in over a year, he is still a big favourite with the bookmakers. His opponent, Robert Oganesyan of Greece, is riding a wave of alternating wins and losses, but the Slovakian fighter still has a heavy burden.
“Of course I feel a lot of pressure, I will always feel a lot of pressure, but I am used to it,” Boráros confirms. “But I will continue to wrestle, because I want to do it, I dreamt it and wanted to do it,” he shows his love for his sport.
