On Friday, the Refresher website published an interview with Petr Švancara about the reality show Survivor. During the half-hour chat, he mentioned food, Jirka, but for example he also mentioned the name of the person who bothered him the most on the island.
Petr Švancara, a former football player and entertainer, lasted 37 days in the second year of the Czechoslovak version of Survivor, during which he lost an incredible 18 kilos.
“There is nothing there, not even a toilet, at most you go to the fights,” said Švancara. Since his return, however, he has eaten well, even receiving his favourite sandwich from presenter Petr Svěcený during the filming of TIKI-TAKA. However, he had to eat slowly, but he is happy for his current figure.
When Švanci was elected to the fight for survival and saw what awaited him, he somehow already counted on leaving. He’s been enjoying his fame since his return, with many people raving about his performance, and admiring the humor he’s maintained despite the big hunger strike.
“I go for a beer once every three days, not every day. I should be stricter with myself,” the Brno-born man finds out thanks to the reality show. Now he appreciates his loved ones a little more. “I went to lunch with a colleague from work and told him I was glad to have him,” he said.
But Survivor fans are probably interested in the gender-balancing case started by contestant Jirka. “I was on his side, he was a total Survivor player and he went for the win,” defends Svancara. But he understands that the company is divided in two halves in this case.
As for the rules, Švanci admits that the organizers were entitled to make various changes. And it happened often, which probably brought Jirka down. If he hadn’t resigned, he would have gone into a fight with him, thinks the former Zbrojovka player.
And who bothered him the most in the game? The name Martin probably won’t surprise anyone. The Slovakian participant doesn’t have many friends in real life, as evidenced by his time in the Dominican Republic. Even people on the TV screens could notice his style of speaking.
“Terrible person, you don’t want a person like that in the Republic, let alone every day by the fire. He tells me that he wants to move to the Czech Republic because he’s going to get an offer, as he says,” concludes Švanci.
