The top Czech women’s football league is steadily growing in popularity. This is especially helped by the Prague S, who are also bringing in foreign reinforcements to their teams. One of them is Amber Tripp, who scored a hat-trick on her debut.
The first women’s league has started again and in the first round Prague S immediately jumped out and gave their opponents a good portion of goals.
Sparta dominated the match with Baník Ostrava, winning deservedly 8:1. Amber Tripp, a new signing from Subotica, Serbia, also started the second half.
The American offensive player immediately showed off her skills and scored a hat-trick at half-time. Thanks to this batch of goals, she can finally enjoy playing soccer for a living.
“I’m over the moon to have my dream of being a professional soccer player come true,” she said in an interview with the club’s website.
“I have found a good environment here. Quality coaches who care. Technical football is played here, on the ground. I think I can improve here and develop my potential. I thank the people in the club management for choosing me, I want to make them proud. I am very lucky to be here,” she added.
The hat-trick has put her at the top of the scorers’ table after the first round. She will be able to improve her numbers on Saturday, when Sparta hosts Prague Dukla at home.
