And it’s official! Alex King is the latest signing for West Ham United. He was introduced to the fans by Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček. What does coach David Moyes have to say about him?

West Ham officially announced the long-awaited arrival of Alex King on Tuesday evening. The Kosice native joins the Hammers from Spartak Moscow on a one-year loan deal, with a view to joining the club permanently in a year’s time.

The player was introduced to the fans by national teammates Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček via a video straight from the national team meeting.

Prior to King, West Ham were reinforced by Alphonse Areola, Kurt Zoma and Nikola Vlasic in the summer. The club confirms that it certainly does not want to rest on its laurels.

And what does head coach David Moyes have to say about King’s arrival? “I am delighted to welcome him here. He will provide even more competition in the centre of midfield. He is a young and talented player with huge potential who will be able to adapt to the Premier League.”

“Hopefully he will be a valuable addition as the season progresses. Especially given the demanding schedule. We believe he has similar qualities and similar hunger to Soucek and Coufal,” Moyes added.

Of course, the coach is also pleased that King has been a regular member of the national team for some time, which also gives him that much more experience. We can only hope that he will do well.
