The semi-finals of the Europa League are over and we won’t see a Czech footprint in the final. English West Ham failed to win the rematch at Frankfurt, but Rangers sensationally defeated Leipzig 3:1 at home and have a chance to win a valuable trophy.

The European competitions are coming to an end, the semi-final rematches are over and we already know who will play the Europa League final.
Eintracht Frankfurt challenged West Ham at their stadium, beating them 2-1 in the opening game. They won the return leg 1-0 after a goal from Rafael Borre.
Tomas Soucek played the whole match for the visitors, Vladimir Coufal came on in the 87th minute. Aaron Cresswell was red-carded after a quarter of an hour and coach David Moyes was sent off.
The second advancing team are Scottish Rangers, who lost 0:1 in the opening game, but won 3:1 in the return leg and eliminated Leipzig after Borussia Dortmund.
The home side scored at Ibrox Stadium in the 19th minute from James Tavernier’s penalty, and five minutes later Glen Kamara increased their lead.
The German side managed to reduce the deficit in the 71st minute when Christopher Nkunku scored. At 2-1, it would have gone to extra time, but it didn’t happen.
In the 81st minute, John Lundstram scored and celebrations could break out. The Scottish side will now face Frankfurt in the final and are close to winning the trophy.
In parallel matches, AS Rome beat Leicester and will play the final against Feyenoord, who played out a goalless draw at Marseille.
