Since Messi’s departure, Barcelona have been constantly trying to find a replacement for the Argentine footballer. So far, no such replacement has even come close. So Xavi has now come up with quite an interesting tip.
Xavi would like to see Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in Barcelona. According to him, this Egyptian footballer could be a full-fledged replacement for Messi.
The problem is Liverpool’s current reluctance to sell their star. Even so, Barcelona are starting negotiations for his transfer, saying they would like to complete the transfer next season.
Salah is a twenty-nine year old extremely goal scoring striker. In the current season, he has started a total of eleven league games in which he has scored ten goals.
However, he regularly maintains a limit of around twenty goals scored per season, and in 2018 he could even boast 32 goals scored.
Barcelona desperately need to strengthen. It is doing very poorly in the league, where it ranks ninth. Moreover, it is currently going through a generational change and has no star in its squad as it did in the past years.
