Cristiano Ronaldo is getting used to life in Saudi Arabia. At the moment, he has no permanent accommodation so he is staying in a hotel. What is life like in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world?
Cristiano Ronaldo was recently unveiled as a signing for Al Nassr. We will have to wait for his first start at his new club as he is serving a two-match ban. At least the Portuguese has time to get used to a completely new and different life in Saudi Arabia.
Together with his family, friends and his team he is staying at the For Season Hotel in Riyadh. The hotel is located in the Kingdom Tower, one of the tallest buildings in all of Arabia. They occupy a total of 17 hotel rooms. The accommodation bill is expected to be up to $300,000 per month, which translates to over $6.5 million.
Ronaldo himself, his girlfriend and children will live in a two-storey duplex suite. The hotel’s newest suite occupies the 48th-50th floors of the building and includes its own dining room, private office and media room.
Because of the floor, Ronaldo will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the entire city. All hotel staff are instructed by strict orders not to invade the star footballer’s privacy.
Saudi Arabia must bend the law
Cristiano Ronaldo had to get an exemption to live with his girlfriend in Saudi Arabia. Authorities turned a blind eye to the fact that the Portuguese and his partner Georgina Rodríguez are not married. In Arabia, a man and a woman are not allowed to live together unless they are married.
