Cristiano Ronaldo must stay! According to the latest reports, Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr has entered into negotiations with the famous Portuguese legend for a new contract. The current “CR7” expires next June.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo is negotiating a new contract with his club
  • His current contract at the Saudi club expires at the end of June 2025
  • Al Nassr is reportedly paying $213 million a year to “CR7”

Ronaldo arrived in Saudi Arabia in January 2023 and has not won a single trophy since then in an Al Nassr jersey. In fact, he has been waiting for one since his earlier engagement with Juventus Turin, with whom the famous Portuguese won the championship.

However, Ronaldo has not yet added to the number of team trophies after leaving Juventus. But he is doing his best in the Saudi Arabian club. He came close to winning the trophy, for example, in the recent Super Cup duel.

However, Al Nassr lost to Al Hilal with a score of 1:4. The same result was also achieved in the King’s Cup final at the end of May, when this ambitious team again failed to beat Al Hilal. This time by 1:2 after penalties.

Ronaldo, however, has been on a roll in terms of individual statistics. After arriving in Saudi Arabia, he played 16 league games in the 2022/23 season and scored 14 goals. The following season, he finished with a tally of 35 goals and 11 assists in 31 league games.

In the current campaign, Ronaldo has seven competitive starts so far – five in the league, two in the Saudi Super Cup. His record then again speaks for itself, 6 goals and 2 assists.

Ronaldo gets a new contract, how much will he earn now?

So it’s no surprise that the club have opened negotiations with the star Portuguese for a new contract. As journalist Nicolo Schira already reports, his current contract with the club expires at the end of June 2025.

However, he has not yet disclosed more details, such as the length of the new contract or the salary. According to Sporting News, Ronaldo currently earns approximately $213 million a year (roughly CZK 4.8 billion) at Al Nassr.
