The RFA had to announce some not-so-positive news at a press conference on Friday. Marpo was injured and the tournament lost its main event. Sebastian Fapsho won’t be showing up either, but the RFA has decided to have the first title match!
Václav Sivák and Patrik Záděra will face off for the Real Fight Arena organization’s first ever title. The fight will be fought under K1 rules in the category up to 66 kg.
“I had a day to think about it, in my head I said I’ll take it. Ihave nothing to lose in this fight, on the contrary, if I beat him I can only gain,” said Záděra at the press conference.
He challenged Sivak himself, who decided to accept the fight shortly after the challenge. “So next week, me versus Patrik Záděra for the RFA title. Why am I taking this fight? Because the RFA can afford it, that’s why!” he announced via Instagram.
So you could say that this duel saved the tournament. After all, Sivak is pulling his weight and it may show in PPV sales as well given his strong community.
Of course, the organization has prepared another draw as well. For the first time in a long time, we’ll see Martina Jindrova wrestling in the PFL on the domestic scene.
“I was preparing as an alternate for the final match in the PFL, I was interested in this match before I flew to America.
It’s a match to fill the gap before my next PFL match. I’m ready, I’m looking forward to it, and most importantly, I’ll be in front of a home crowd,” said the popular fighter.
The tournament, number 7, will be held in Prague at the Královka hall on December 17. Apart from those already mentioned, we can also look forward to Tadeáš Růžička or Miroslav Brož.
