Representatives under scrutiny! The coach and the owner of West Ham came to watch the duel with the Scots. Who were they watching?
Thanks to two “Czech mates” from West Ham, the Czech national team has had a dream start at the Euro. Jaroslav Šilhavy’s selection showed their skills to the whole world, including the coach and owner of the London team David Moyes and his namesake Sullivan, who came to the stadium in person.

The Coufal – Soucek pair have done Czech football a great service in recent seasons. Not only is it now leading it to success on the international stage, but more importantly, it has made a great advertisement for it abroad.
At West Ham, it seems as if every time a transfer is made, the management considers a player either directly from the Czech Republic or at least from our domestic competition. Moreover, our footballers are also quite popular with the Kladivar fans.
The attention that we attract from the London club was also shown by the presence of David Moyes (head coach) and David Sullivan (owner), who came to support their “charges” directly at Hampden Park.
However, one can assume that Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal were not the only attractions. Alex Král and Adam Hložek, who have both been linked with a move to the London Stadium in the past and present, were also present.
The former certainly dazzled less than the latter, but West Ham fans would perhaps have wanted anyone from our country. “Hložek is coming home”, rejoiced a fan nicknamed Seb over the news of Moyes and Sullivan’s participation in the match.
“I hope they watched the striker!” said Mark Emms, referring to Patrik Schick’s performance.
But whatever the outcome of this year’s busy transfer window, it is clear that our players will be welcomed with open arms by West Ham fans for several seasons to come.
