Real Madrid announced two signings, or rather two returns, in two days. Both Fran García and Brahim Díaz performed so well at their clubs that Florentino Pérez decided to bring them back to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Brahim Díaz transferred to Real Madrid in 2018 with great promise for the future, he was one of the brightest talents in the Citizens academy and appeared in 15 games for the A-team.

However, he didn’t make as much of an impact in the packed Los Blancos squad, playing 21 games in two seasons with a 2+2 record.

In the summer of 2020 he went on loan to AC Milan, where he spent three seasons. Especially in the last season he gave very decent performances and contributed to the promotion to the Champions League semi-finals. In Serie A, he recorded a record of 6+7 in 33 games and added one goal in the Champions League.

Thus, Real Madrid decided to pull Brahim back from his loan spell after the departure of Asensio. The 23-year-old footballer was then presented by the royal club on Tuesday morning.

“Today one of our own, Brahim Díaz, returns home. Welcome back to your home. From the first day you arrived here, you made it clear that your dream is to be part of the history of this club,” president Florentino Pérez welcomed him.

“Thank you, President, for your trust. Thank you for considering me worthy to write the history of the best club in the world. I know what this jersey and representing Real Madrid means. I return more prepared and I look forward to surpassing myself. Hala Madrid!” were Brahim’s opening words.

Brahim is Real Madrid’s second signing. Fran García, Rayo Vallecano’s left back, was introduced at the Santiago Bernabéu yesterday. The third signing is Jude Bellingham, whose departure has already been announced by Borussia Dortmund, but Real Madrid are waiting to make an official announcement.
