PSG wants to bring in another big signing. Representatives of the French club are in talks with the agent of Ousmane Dembélé, who currently plays for Barcelona. Dembélé’s contract expires in the summer and so the door is open for a possible transfer.

In the last season, Dembélé started to do very well after Xavi joined the team. He has been pulling the offensive efforts of his team and it is no wonder that other European clubs have started to take an interest in him. Moreover, with the young French international’s contract expiring in the summer.

The Catalan club has been negotiating a contract extension with the player for several months. So far without success. Xavi has also tried to put pressure on the player, who has publicly expressed several times that he would like his charge to stay at the club and agree on a continuation.

But there are other teams who have a plan to bring Dembélé over. One of them is PSG, whose representatives are currently in intensive talks with the player’s agent.

The idea of the French outfit is that Dembélé could fill the hole left by Ángel di María, who will leave the Paris club. In this respect, Dembélé could be a very valid reinforcement.

This transfer is favoured by the financial situation of both clubs. While Barcelona cannot afford to increase the player’s contract dramatically, PSG will be happy to accommodate Dembélé. It should be noted that at the moment PSG also has a better chance of success in Europe than Barcelona.

Barcelona are in fact undergoing a squad rebuild and a noticeable rejuvenation. In the squad we can find several players who have not yet reached the age of 20, such as Pedri or Gavi. These players have huge potential, if the Catalan club manages to keep them, they will surely have a very strong generation in the future.
