PL coaching chess: Norwich in talks with Lampard, Aston Villa want Gerrard

The new coach is likely to be Frank Lampard, who is a big favourite. The British coach is currently vacant. His previous engagement was not very successful. He won a total of 44 out of 84 games on the Chelsea bench and was sacked in January this year. He was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who has already managed to win the Champions League with the team.

There are several candidates for the position of the new manager. The biggest name is Steven Gerrard, the manager of Scottish Rangers. The Liverpool legend has been very successful in Scotland. Gerrard won the league title with Rangers and didn’t lose once all season. In the Europa League, he reached the eighth round with the team, where he fell out with Slavia Prague.

Other names that have been linked with Aston Villa are Danish national team coach Kasper Hjulmand and the current coach of England’s Southampton – Ralph Hasenhütl.
