Both well-known names have experienced absolute top football in their careers, but time is running out. Radamel Falcao is 35 years old and Franck Ribéry is even 38. But age is just a number and there is still interest. Both legends have signed contracts as free agents, the Colombian forward is returning to Spain, Ribéry will try to save the newcomer to the Italian Serie A.

Falcao will wear the jersey of Rayo Vallecano in Spain’s top competition, a newcomer to La Liga this year. The Colombian was last on the Iberian Peninsula in the 2012/13 season in an Atlético Madrid jersey.

He then embarked on a long tour of Europe, passing through Monaco, Manchester United, Chelsea and Turkish side Galatasaray Istanbul. His longest spell was spent on the French Riviera, where he returned after a failed stint in England.

It was 38-year-old winger Franck Ribéry who had a far easier career, at least in terms of engagement. He broke into professional football in his native France at Metis, moving to Marseille after his first season.

Czech football memories should remember Ribéry in an Olympique Marseille jersey from the UEFA Cup at the time. In 2006, Mladá Boleslav faced this famous French team in the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup. The Central Bohemians sensationally advanced with a goal from the 92nd minute (4:3 overall).

After that, Ribéry was waiting for a foreign mission, which literally became a heartbreaker for the legendary winger. He spent an incredible 12 seasons at Bayern Munich. With the Bavarian big club he won the Bundesliga 9 times, the German Cup 6 times and also the prestigious Champions League.

For the last two years, he wore the jersey of Italian side Fiorentina, which he parted ways with after last season. Now a free agent at the age of 38, he will sign a one-year contract with Salernitana. The contract should earn him around €1.5 million.
