David Kozma vs. Kaik Brito. This is the main match of Saturday’s OKTAGON 37 tournament, which will take place in Ostravar Arena in Ostrava. The home champion is the favourite going into the sixth defence. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

Another big match will take place on Saturday. David Kozma has his sixth welterweight title defence ahead of him, Kaik Brito for a change will be fighting for the title for the first time ever and there is a lot to look forward to.

Why is Kozma the favourite? Great fitness, many tough fights, great experience in five round fights, big heart, great stamina and the ability to turn bad fights in his favour.

With the Brit, we can only guess at his fitness level. Every time his fight has gone to the third round, he has lost. However, the Brazilian assures that he is in great shape and even offered to sign an eight round contract.

What is certain, however, is that he will be a huge threat to the champion. Especially in the first round. Few fighters in the Octagon can finish fights so quickly with such regularity. Fighters like Petr Knize, Robert Bryczek, Gábor Boráros and Andrei Kalashnik have all felt his fast and hard hands.

Kozma has gone down in two of his last three fights, it’s not out of the question that the same could happen again with the Brazilian star. After all, one would like to say that Brito is probably the biggest puncher of all his opponents.

That’s why a bet on Kozma may not necessarily pay off, even given the lofty odds. He doesn’t offer much of a value, while Brito’s win will pay off in a different way.

A bet on the wheels can be interesting. A lot depends on what you believe. Brito will definitely have the best chance in the first two rounds. As the fight goes on, the odds of winning will spill over to Kozmo’s side.

Personally, though, I wouldn’t bet on more than three rounds. At odds of 2.11, this is an interesting bet.

For the real gamblers who are not afraid of risks, I would also recommend a bet on the fight to be over in 90 seconds at odds of 12.00. As the high odds suggest, it is not very likely, however Brito will definitely not want to waste time and will go for the quickest possible finish.

If anything could be described as almost certain, it is the possibility that the match will not end on points. The odds of 1.60 are not very tempting, but not very risky either. It could pay off.
