Very attractive and interesting fight. Robert Pukac has inspired Matúš Juráček in the past to make his comeback after a long injury, now they will face each other in the cage as rivals. Who will win and what to expect from the fight?
Matúš Juráček is enjoying a successful comeback. After three years without a fight due to injuries, he made his first appearance in the Octagon last December and managed to win 3 fights, defeating Jan Široky, Gábor Boráros and Tato Primera.
Robert Pukac has also been plagued by health problems in the past. He was the motivation for Jurek to come back. But his results have been a rollercoaster. He has won two of his last five fights, beating Samuel Krištofič, Jozef Wittner and Mate Kertesz.
According to the odds Juracek is the big favourite, but Pukac should not be underestimated. He has surprised several times.
Juracek is a great boxer, he knows how to keep his distance and he can score beautifully even from the retreat. But Pukac also has a solid grenade in his hands, which is capable of deciding the fight. In the standup, though, Yuracek should have the upper hand.
It is worth mentioning that Pukac has fought in the past, for example, against Patrik Kinclo, whom he lost to on points. The Slovakian fighter tested Kinc with his nasty low kicks, which could work on Jurek.
If the fight then goes to the ground, it could be Pukac who has the advantage. Juracek did manage to control Boráros on the ground, but he didn’t show much besides control. He showed weaknesses in ground disciplines that Pukac could exploit.
The fight cannot be expected to end prematurely. Yuracek will be tough to knock out, chances are through submissions or the aforementioned low kicks, Pukac has been knocked out once in his career most often losing on points.
And it’s the points that are most likely to decide this fight. While Yuracek is the favorite, it’s not so much worth betting on him to win because of the odds, but also because of the certainty. Pukač is certainly not without a chance.
