OKTAGON 29 will offer another spectacular defence. David Kozma will try to defend his belt against another tough opponent, which will be UFC veteran and Jiri Prochazka’s conqueror Bojan Velickovic. What to expect from the fight?
Originally, the Octagon champion was supposed to face Ivan Buchinger, but he was recently injured. The welterweight king will have a slight advantage over the Serbian. He was preparing for a five-round bout, while Velickovic, who was originally scheduled to face Mate Kertesz at the tournament, was only preparing for a three-round bout.
Kozma believes he will win the fight with his heart, just like he did with Apollo. Velickovic, however, will be no easier nut to crack. He’s had six fights in the UFC (2-3-1), his overall record is 20:10, but he’s only been stopped once. When he does lose, it’s only on points.
Compared to Buchinger, who Kozma has been preparing for, Velickovic is not only tougher, but also more complex. He can win fights standing, grappling or on points. He is also more complex than Kozma.
For a Czech fighter, this could be a great calling card for foreign organizations. But as already mentioned, he will have a very hard time. Basically, he can only win on points, while he can lose on anything.
And what to bet on? The game will definitely be a long one. So it’s worth betting on the number of rounds, or that the fight will end on points.
Both fighters can win. Both have heart and great quality.
