Nottingham Forest ended a 23-year wait to return to the Premier League and celebrated promotion to the English elite last year. They have taken the fight for relegation more than seriously and have basically renewed their entire squad. They are also close to acquiring goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who is currently at PSG.

The British club, owned by Greek tycoon Evangelos Marinakis, has had a tough summer, bringing in 21 new faces. With this feat, they have set a new British record. No club has ever brought in more players in one transfer window than Nottingham.

The club’s management did not slack off in the winter either, when they looked around South America and brought in two Brazilian footballers, complemented by experienced striker Chris Wood, who arrives on loan from Newcastle.

The investment in new faces is already around 200 million euros. But Nottingham are far from finished with their strengthening, as they are serious about staying in the Premier League.

Sound reinforcements in the goalmouth

The club’s current number one goalkeeper Dean Henderson was injured in the game against Leicester. According to reports, he is expected to miss around two months, which is obviously a very noticeable loss for a club fighting to stay in the league.

Fabrizio Romano has therefore come forward with the information that Nottingham are seriously considering the arrival of the PSG goalkeeper, who is expected to join the club on loan until the end of this season. It must be added that his experience would definitely come in handy for the English outfit.

The Costa Rican goalkeeper is said to be open to new experience in the form of a stint in the Premier League. Now everything depends on the decision of the French club whether to release Navas until the end of the season.

The winner of 3 editions of the Champions League is only catching cup matches this season. Gianluigi Donnarumma has cemented his place in the starting line-up and there is no indication that Navas’ position will change as the season progresses. This transfer could be a welcome change for the 36-year-old goalkeeper.
