Vémola reports injury, haters led by Kinclo have had it with him
At the end of the year, fans of domestic MMA will get the icing on the cake in the form of the last tournament of the biggest domestic organization Oktagon this year. The main event of the gala event at Prague’s O2 Arena will be a battle for the middleweight title.
It is held by the champion Patrik Kincl, who will face the Oktagon’s welterweight king Karlos Vémola. For four years, the domestic MMA scene has been waiting for the coveted rematch from 2018 in the then XFN organization, in which the scoring judges awarded the victory to the side of Terminator.
But on Monday, Karlos scared fans and Octagon management with a video he shared on his social media announcing his elbow injury. After that, there was a literal avalanche of haters who reacted to the words of Patrik Kinzl.
Nobody wants a fight more than Vémola, promoter Novotný reacts
He was most afraid that Vémola would not enter the fight. Kincl also reacted to the aforementioned video by saying that it starts earlier than he expected. Oktagon promoter Ondrej Novotny also commented on the situation.
“That’s strange, why shouldn’t Karlos Vémola come in right now,” asked a surprised Novotny in his podcast MMA Flight Around the World. “Vémola will be in 100% and nobody wants this fight more than Karlos Vémola,” he stressed.
“The only thing that can definitely be said about Karlos is that in all the time we’ve worked together, even when he came back from the UFC, he has never shied away from a fight,” he defended his organization’s star. ” It never happened that he didn’t want a fight,” he said about Vemola.
“Karlos extremely wants the fight, he is extremely confident about it,” he revealed that the welterweight champion is confident about the king of the middleweight division. “You could see it on Face to Face, it’s not an act of confidence,” he added.
