The United States Women’s National Committee has reached a historic agreement! The female soccer players will now be paid the same salary as the male soccer players by the association.

The U.S. women players have gotten their wish after all. After a series of complaints and lawsuits, they will be paid the same salary as the men.

In 2016, 5 female players of the American team filed a lawsuit for salary discrimination. Including captain Alex Morgan. In March 2019, all 28 female players have already filed this lawsuit for discrimination.

There is no doubt that the female soccer players from the USA are giving their country a good name. After all, they have won the last two World Cups! The men’s national team can only dream about that.

Recently, the American women’s soccer team took on the Czech Republic in the SheBelieves Cup. Surprisingly enough, the Czechs managed a 0:0 draw

We are pleased to announce that, subject to the negotiation of a new collective agreement, we have resolved our long-standing dispute over pay equity. We proudly support the joint efforts for equality in football.

This statement was issued by the U.S. Soccer Association in conjunction with the conclusion of the Equal Pay Agreement.
